Reductil

Reductil (sibutramine hydrochloride) is a medicine prescribed for the treatment of obesity. Its effects are based on maintaining the natural level of chemicals in your brain responsible for the feeling of hunger. As a result of taking Reductil you can eat less food and since you also consume foods that are lower in fat and exercise regularly, it will not take you too long to notice the first effects of taking Reductil. While taking Reductil you need to be aware of the possibility of developing a number of side effects. Of course, not every patient taking Reductil will experience some or any of the side effects we are about to mention, but you need to know them in case something like that happens. This way you will know for sure whether the symptom you developed is mild or severe and what you need to do about it. To give you an example – if you experience increased blood pressure, insomnia, headache, dry mouth, increased heart rate, constipation, and increased sweating, there is not need to worry, as there are most common mild side effects that in most cases go away on their own without any need for you to interfere and start treating them. More serious side effects are quite rare and can include any of the following symptoms: depression, nausea, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, vomiting, high fever, irregular heartbeats, restlessness, anxiety, sweating, mental confusion, muscle stiffness, loss of muscle coordination, and abdominal pain. Make sure you notify your doctor as soon as possible if you suddenly developed any of the serious side effects mentioned. Such health conditions and states as a bleeding disorder, glaucoma, liver or kidney disease, a history of heart attack, seizures, high blood pressure, heart disease, a history of a stroke, or depression can make you treatment less efficient or interfere with the beneficial effects of Reductil. Therefore, if you have any of the things mentioned above, talking to your doctor is necessary to establish the safety and efficient of your Reductil treatment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding at the moment of starting your treatment, you may need to reconsider taking Reductil as it can cause harm to an unborn and nursing baby. Some of the drugs you are taking may cause interference with Reductil, and although this is not expected to be dangerous for your health or life, you can get drowsier as a result. The following medicines are not supposed to be used along with Reductil as they can add to the drowsiness you may already experience as one of the side effects: muscle relaxants, cold or allergy medicine, medicine for seizures, sleeping pills, sedatives, as well as narcotic pain medicine. Never take more of this medicine than recommended, as an overdose can produce some symptoms that re supposed to be reported to your health care provider as soon as possible. The following symptoms indicate an overdose: headache, dizziness, and fast heart rate, although you may get some other ones too.
